Sometimes things happen for reasons too odd, or random, to try to understand. Sometimes, it is just a matter of being in the right place at the right time.
I was driving home from work tonight, and I had to piss something fierce. I usually do that before I leave work (it is about a fifteen minute ride) because the route I take home goes directly through the getto, and as many of you may be aware of, Arab gas stations in the getto always have ‘broken' bathrooms.
I stop at a BP because the pressure in my bladder is next to unbearable; if the guy had not let me use the can I probably would have gone outside behind the place. That is not something I would do, even in the ‘hood', but it was bad. This was the type of place where they don't even let you in the store; you have to ask for soda and cigs through a window.
Well the Arab on duty told me "bathroom broke", and I was about to leave, when he said, "hey hold on, ok." He waited until all the black people were gone and let me in the store. This in itself is not that uncommon. When you really have to piss, you just wait until there are no other people around and say something like, "Please let me use the restroom. I'm not doing drugs, I'm not black, I will not rob you. I promise I will buy something." You may think that is racist, but it works. If I could find a statistic for how many Arab gas/convenience store owners/cashiers, in the getto, that are murdered per year by black males....Well it does have its own statistic.
So after he lets me in, I pee, then fulfill my obligation buy purchasing a water, lemonade, and pack of smokes. This particular cashier is about forty five, clean shaven, wearing jeans and a button-up, and speaks broken English. You could tell from his stammering he was trying to learn more of the language, to speak correctly, and that to me is an admirable trait in any foreign-born citizen.
He starts to talk to me, and I do not want to waste time trying to type in his dialect, or call it phonetically, so try to imagine an Arab with a slow, repeating way of speaking that was very deliberate. He was repeating because he wanted to make sure his thoughts were conveyed correctly. He asks me, out the blue, "What do you think of when you think ‘terrorist'."
I was confused as to his meaning; at the time it did not seem odd at all that he would strike up a conversation about this topic. I think subconsciously I though that most of his clientele on this shift, in this neighborhood probably would not give him an intelligent answer, or any answer; or maybe they would say, "You-motherfucka" Blam! Blam! It looked to me as if he had this question burning inside of him for a while. Maybe it was something he saw in the media, or something he overheard from patrons, whatever.
At first I didn't not understand the question. I have a bad habit of being overly analytical when I am sober. So I was attempting to dissect the question before formulating the answer. He interrupted my silence with, "You live this country all life?"
I stared, and replied, "Yes. I was born in Europe but I have lived here all my life. Why? What do you mean..."
"You see terrorist. What you think see terrorist? What he looking like?", he interrupted.
"Well I don't know" trying to be cautious I said, "there are all types of terrorists. What exactly do you mean?"
Well, we all know what he was getting at. He was asking what visual things I associated with a middle eastern terrorist. He cited the beard, the turban, expecting me to say ‘Yep, that's it.'. But I did not say that. I was still cautious partially due to curiosity and partially due to not wanting to sound like a typical ignorant American. You know, ‘Yeah I thinks all muz-lumz is da al-ki-da.'. [that was southern bible belt, not black getto; sorry my phonetics are poor. And yes I intentionally spell ghetto: getto. It's slang so I can do with it what I wish]
Well, he decides that I am an ok guy, or at least I have half a brain and I will not be robbing him so he comes out of his cage and we end up talking outside for almost two hours. He said a few fascinating things which I just had to share. Now, I have no way of actually verifying anything that he said, but in essence, hearing this was no different than listening to/watching the news. You can only evaluate the source and use your best judgement. As best as I could tell (damn I wish I had a camcorder) he seemed to be genuine in what he was telling me.
He started by discussing what I believed a terrorist was, asking me what I knew/thought I knew about the Muslim religion. To skip ahead, allow me to state what he and I agreed on:
-The Muslims of the world are not all terrorists.
-The United States government knew full-well what was happening on September 11, and did absolutely nothing to prevent it.
-The war in Iraq was a base to increase cash flow to the elite, not just in this country, but also in Saudi Arabia.
-That the entire current trend of ‘global terrorism' was, and is, a plan by elitists as a function only to generate revenue.
-It will never stop because,
Here is where he told me the first thing that I did not know. There are three levels of Al Qaeda. He called them ‘small [meaning local - in middle east]', ‘grand [meaning global I think]', and U.S.A.
So there are three Al Qaedas? What's the difference. I could not translate his answer and do it justice, but he spent the next 20 minutes attempting to verbalize to me all the ‘links' between the Arab generals, the Arab politicians, the U.S. government (he repeatedly indicted the CIA), the Saudi royal family, and three of the major terrorists that are in the news. My Arabic is fucking terrible, so I couldn't get the names right, but they were all the ones of the people that the President keeps dropping in his speeches, and that the media use as sound bites. It was something that I always suspected, but could never actually put together. It was the level of conspiracy worth of a Moore documentary(actually it was far superior.) One thing that struck was his description of a CIA base in Alaska, where, he claims, top U.S. government officials met with Saudi royal family, Russian premier, England's Blair, and others to discuss the terrorist activity that was about to commence.
He claims the date of that meeting was September 9, 2001.
Right about now you think I am either making it up, or that he is just a grand story teller attempting to get sympathy for ‘the cause'. Hey I even considered that as he was saying it. But logically, why the fuck would he tell me anything? He stands to gain nothing; I am a nobody, it is just coincidence that Z and I have this site; the best I could do is discuss it with a friend. Fuck, everything he said, everything that I wasn't sure I believed to everything that I already knew, was talked about as common knowledge. Once he saw that the base of our thinking was similar (I had made a point of blasting Bush for creating new terrorists by the way he handled the entire situation), he dropped another one on me.
Feeling like I may be getting danced with, hand on my ass, is part of my suspicious, paranoid nature. So I asked him, "What exactly do these Al Qaeda want? What is the end result they are trying for?"
I wasn't sure what lie I was expecting, and it didn't matter because he shocked me with the truth(and again, I cannot verify this, I am using my judgement of character and logical deduction): "They want whole world [to convert to] Muslim. Or kill whole world. That is all that [is] acceptable [to them]."
I have heard a lot of right wing white men tell me this, but never an Arab. I haven't told you yet, because I did not ask him until I said goodbye, but he is Pakistani. Either way, I have never heard a non-white Pakistani gas station immigrant clerk admit that the Al Qaeda want to kill all non-converts.
He began again after that with the ‘back story' of how these people know each other. He outlined generals, presidents, CIA, other Arab heads of state. Damn I wish I had a camera or a pen and notepad. I just can't spell/pronounce those Arab names. I feel he was going over this again to reiterate that his story was not changing; that these were common knowledge facts to his countrymen. Just when I thought it couldn't get better, he had one more kernel for me.
According to this man, this mid forties, Pakistani immigrant who works third shift at one of the many getto gas stations, who could have been talking to anyone but me, Osama Bin Laden was captured by the Pakistani secret service in 2003. All the videos that have been released since then are either old videos that were showcased as ‘new', or new tapes that the Paki government made him make at the behoovment of the United States, and the Saudi Government. That the other leaders/generals of Al Qaeda know this and keep fighting to bring the message of martyrdom home to the masses. That in late 2002, Bin Laden had to go to a hospital in Dubai, where he received a transplant, and that he is now a captive in perfect health.
Of course, I listened, stunned, wondering if it could be true. Wondering how he would know, all I could think of is that I never trust the media anyway, and we as Americans have no way of knowing what is and is not said and taught in foreign countries. So I asked, "If that is true, then why has it not been made public? Or assuming your correct, why is it not known to the American public?"
His answer? So simple, and logical: It is a fantastic news headline. He went on to tell me how they are saving it for the election in 2008. That right before the vote, it will be in all the papers and on all the networks. He kept saying ‘back story is' ‘back story is'. It was his way of saying that the elitists/republicans/upper one percent had a scam going on. Not only did it include rigging voting machines in Florida in 2000, Ohio in 2004, but that it also extended to elections and entire governmental control in, I believe the number he said was, seven countries in the middle east; Saudi Arabia excluded because they were masterminds and the entire financial support for the plan. He said it also extended to the way the patriot act allowed government officials to listen in on phone conversations for the benefit of accumulating personal information about credit cards, credit history, and most importantly social security numbers.
He explained that the four biggest current, in play, global scams are:
1. Stealing from social security. It is a dying animal and the U.S. government, along with their partners (Saudis) are skimming as much cash and diverting/laundering as quickly as possible before it comes crashing down.
2. Inserting governments. This may not surprise us when it comes to third world countries(think El Salvador, Guatemala, Vietnam, Cambodia, throw in Mexico for good measure.) But that is an actuality here in the U.S. Look at the last two elections. Pretty close to a dictator installment. He claims this is what the former Soviet Union, and China, is now supporting, also.
3. As I suspected, the price of oil per barrel is a fixed scam. It is a planned price hike meant to gouge the world before alternative fuel sources are put in to practice on a practical level. It is what the Saudis have wanted, and in a crooked partnership, the U.S. elitists. Just how much money does Bush's family make? How about Cheney? Thirty years of partnerships between Republicans and Saudi royalty are being rewarded by including them(Saudi's) in their(the elitist here) scam of social security. Makes me wonder how much money is in that kitty? Millions skimmed from billions? Billions skimmed from trillions?
4. The threat of countries such as Iran, Korea, China, Syria, etc. gaining nuclear weapons is true. What we don't know, is that is a behind the scenes plan of all these governments ‘behind men' that are attempting to throw the world into a elite-controlled oligarchy. Also, while they may or may not have the technology, it is being traded relatively freely because, they have no actual intention of using them. Well, that is logical; what good is it to be part of a ruling class if you have no one to rule, right? ‘They' want Americans to be afraid, Muslim Al Qaeda to believe, and Europeans to be afraid. It is just that simple. It is a plan for global domination that has been in the works for years and is close to fruition. The clincher?
Barring a ‘big mistake' [read: catastrophe] the capture of Bin Laden will be touted right before the next election. He said the front runners for the ‘weak government' [democrats] will be allowed (and he specified it was Hillary and Obama) to rally whatever support they can. Once Bush/Cheney support there replacements publically, the cou-de-gras will be the headline: Osama captured by Bush team, just in time to steal any thunder/momentum that the democrats have gained; and timed just right to steal the election.
That's it, in a nutshell. Believe it or not, it sure is interesting. I bade him farewell and came straight home to try to type what I could remember.
Go to my last post and listen to what Olbermann says:
"The choice of war and peace are turned over to those who stand to gain vast wealth by ensuring there is never peace, but only war."
Too damn much coincidence for me.
